Health Education

 

Livingston County Public Health Department Certified Health Education Specialists provide a variety of health education programs and services for county residents. Programs are conducted in both school and community settings.

Examples of programs offered:

  • Diabetes Management (click on Diabetes Prevention & Control)
  • Sexually Transmitted Disease Prevention
  • Family Planning
  • Asthma home trigger assessments

Many of the programs and services offered through the Livingston County Public Health Department are funded by annual grants from the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Illinois Department of Human Services, and other (non-government) funding sources. Therefore, programs and services change as funding changes.
