COVID-19 Testing

A drive-thru COVID-19 testing site has been established in Livingston County in a collaborative effort between the Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) and OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center. In order to better track the spread of COVID-19, increased accessibility to testing is essential in a rural county such as Livingston, and the partnership between the two agencies is focused on that objective.

While there are no requirements for testing, before being tested please ask yourself, 1) “Do I have COVID-19 symptoms?” 2) “Has it been 5-7 days since being in *close contact* with a person known to be infected with COVID-19?” 3) “Do my travel accommodations require me to have a COVID-19 test prior to travel?” If you answer “Yes” to any of these questions, you should be in quarantine while you wait for your COVID-19 test and test results. If you answer “No” to these questions, there is no need to be tested. Please know that if you have already tested positive for COVID-19, you may continue to test positive for up to 90 days; so, please do not retest within the first three months after testing positive.

  • Close Contact CDC definition: Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period* starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to test date).

Drive-thru COVID-19 testing is available Tuesday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the parking lot of OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center, which is located along Illinois Route 116 just west of Interstate 55. There are no requirements and all testing is at no charge to the client. Insurance will be billed, if available.

We want to emphasize that persons with an appointment will receive priority service as we have a limited number of tests available each day. To schedule an appointment, please click on the link below.

Please note, each person must have their own appointment and their own form completed. DO NOT schedule appointments under the same name – each person’s name must be entered for their own appointment. In order to schedule an appointment, each person must have their own email address.
