Insurance Information

The health department accepts private health insurance, Medicaid/Medicare, and private-pay for both adults and children to continue protecting citizens from vaccine-preventable illnesses.

Childhood immunizations are available through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program for all children who do not have insurance, with insurance that does not cover immunizations, or children who are Medicaid eligible.

Children whose health insurance covers the cost of vaccinations are not eligible for VFC vaccines, even when a claim for the cost of the vaccine and its administration would be denied for payment by the insurance carrier because the plan’s deductible had not been met. 

School Requirements

• Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
